A fateful encounter in the course of an opera production has brought togehter 

Denis Borisowitsch Ivanov and Jean Bermes merged in 2007. Soon after, the two artists began to explore works as a duo of songs, which fully benefit from the strong personalities and the individual interpretation of the two. A powerful, almost rough interpretation of the romantic song always contrasts with a fragile tender representation of the soul's life. Through courage to brutality and the risk of a barely audible piano, the Luxembourg singer and the St. Petersburg pianist return to the origins of Romanticism. The unconscious becomes audible, feeling and passion unfold, with joy the two dive into uncanny narratives and then with all the more self-irony bring the theatricality of each song to light.

A consistent continuation of this musical interpretation are the two scenic recitals created in 2015.                               

In these caricature recitals classical and romantic repertoire of vocal and piano meets cabaret-philosophical reflections in permissive multilingualism.
