Pierrot's search for happiness in the eternity of the universe unfolds in delicate projections. Clownish moments and choreographies merge with the music to create atmospheric images.
Eva Bartha's texts, inspired by Schönberg's
Pierrot Lunaire, give this ancient figure a new face. The universe orbits the moon weightlessly, awaits Pierrot's birth from the lunar eclipse, accompanies his search for love at full moon and preserves his soul at new moon for the beginning of a new cycle. Elodie Hatton interprets Pierrot with clownish lightness, sometimes dancing flamenco, sometimes raging in the snow. Her Pierrot rebels against his predetermined fate and is able to find peace at the end of his existence.
