Dagmar Weitze, Ausstattung

Born in Berlin, Dagmar Weitze first worked as a qualified costume tailor at the Münchner Kammerspiele. She then studied stage and costume design at the University of Mozarteum in Salzburg where she graduated with a Diploma and Master of Arts degree. During this time, she realized her first own stage sets and costume designs at the Leipzig Opera, the Salzburg Festival, the Regensburg Theatre and the Ingolstadt Theatre, including an opera directed by Georges Tabori and an opera composed by Udo Zimmermann.

Since 1994, Dagmar is working freelance in Luxembourg, where she moved to for family reasons. As part of her continuous personal development, she pursued the study of theatre education and became a handcraft master tailor. From 2010 to 2018, she worked as artistic director of the collectif DADOFONIC. Their production Watt-elo, directed by Dagmar, was invited to the international Grenzgängerfestival in Munich and the Fringe Festival Recklinghausen in 2017.
