A contemporary revision of the recital.
This new concert format appeals to a new audience and combines two genres that otherwise rarely meet. This concert programme makes it easy to get started in the lieder recital genre, but also surprises connoisseurs of the genre with an intelligent programme selection.
The concert began with a carte blanche from the Kasemattentheater Luxembourg, a kind of free pass that classical singer Jean Bermes used to think twice around the corner with a twinkle in his eye. Schubert meets 'gesponne Mammen' and 'grouss Hexemeeschter' and when the concert begins with a brilliant finish, one encore can lead to another.
