Classical vocal repertoire meets cabaret-philosophical reflections in a liberal multilingualism.
In their 6th programme, Borisowitsch & Jhang finally dare to devote themselves to the very central and almost exclusive theme of the art of song. Gans (goose) in white with a Richard Strauss. Following their tried and tested pattern, the two, Gans unpretentious, sort the various occasions that lead to a love song. Every amorous situation naturally leaves feathers and marble, stone and iron on the stage alongside the appropriate song. From dedications "Du meine Seele, Du mein Herz" to lamentations and jealousy "Ich grolle nicht", the Russian concert pianist and the Luxembourg bass-baritone roam through the lascivious love dreams of romantic and over-romantic compositions and traditions.
7 years after their first appearance as Borisowitsch & Jhang in the Kasemattentheater, the two enfants terribles of classical song return to the place where they realised they were no good for a serious concert. Since then, absurd humour and props thought out of the corner have accompanied them through concert halls and theatres.
In an endeavour to ensure that the art of song does not become an elitist art song, or vice versa, the two create space between and during the musical moments to enable a reception without detours.
