Kichegerabbels
(Kitchen review)

MUSIC THEATER - RELAXED PERFORMANCE

Language: Lu - Duration: 50'

(6-10 years)

What happens when the saucepan gets a little jealous? When the whisk doesn’t dare to come out of the drawer? And when the lid and the spoon start sharing secrets?

In Kichegerabbels, the kitchen becomes a stage: everyday objects come to life and get caught up in a story full of big emotions, little misunderstandings, and curious situations.

Music, movement, and language flow together, bringing the objects closer than ever before. Through the interplay of sound, rhythm, and motion, each object finds its own voice and its own role.

Inspired by Bohuslav Martinů’s La Revue de Cuisine, this production blends chamber music, object theatre, and storytelling in a playful and visually engaging way. Kichegerabbels is also presented as a relaxed performance, making it especially welcoming and accessible for all audiences.

A "relaxed performance" is aimed at an audience that benefits from an inclusive and relaxed atmosphere around and during a stage spectacle, especially people with specific needs, for example with a physical or cognitive disability, with concentration difficulties, anxiety disorders or even chronic pain. The term expresses that every individual is welcome in the theater or cultural space, without having to go beyond their personal boundaries. The term is also used for performances for very young children and their parents.
